Fork and Spoon Jewelry - Fork Bracelet
04/19/2009

A fork bracelet is made from a fork. There are two variations of fork bracelets available on the market today. The most common would be the cuff fork bracelet made from an entire fork. This is the easiest fork bracelet to make; requiring less skill from the artist. This bracelet involves bending the tines to a free form pattern and shaping the fork into a cuff shape to fit the wrist. I have heard of people bending the fork around an iron pipe and I have even seen a video on YouTube where the artist simply bends the fork with his hand. These methods are crude but do achieve the desired end result.

The double fork bracelet is made from two parts of the fork and is joined together with jump rings and/or split rings. The two parts may be two tine ends or a handle part and a tine part. Both styles involve the same process of removing the needed fork part from the fork, forming and linking. The production of the double fork bracelet requires more skill and in some cases custom tools.

I have designed a very unique double fork bracelet known as “Four Heart Bracelet”.

It is a double fork bracelet that forms hearts with the fork tines. This bracelet requires a higher level of skill because the hearts must be uniform in size and shape. Precision must be used when forming the hearts. It is far more difficult to produce a consistent product by hand than it is to produce a one of a kind item. Skill is required to produce a single design over and over by hand.
The fork bracelet has been around as long as spoon jewelry. It continues to grow in popularity as more and more people discover spoon jewelry. If you have any questions or comments please use the contact form located here.
